TWO BOVINE SMUGGLING BIDS FOILED BY KATHUA POLICE; 30 BOVINE RESCUED; 02 VEHICLE SEIZED AND 01 ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED.
Kathua, 14 June: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, Police Station Hiranagar and Rajbagh rescued 30 bovine animals.
Today on 14.06.2020 a team of Police Station Hiranagar on Patrolling/naka checking duty at Lodi Morh intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK02BR-9547, coming from Punjab towards Jammu. Police Team signalled the said vehicle to stop for checking. On seeing Police party the driver park the vehicle along roadside at little distance away from the Naka point and fled away from the spot. During checking of the said vehicle 18 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicles in a cruel manner which clearly shows that they were illegally transported.
In this regard a case FIR No. 40/2020 U/S 188, IPC 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Hiranagar.
Meanwhile in an another operation against bovine smugglers, a team of Police Post Marheen on a specific information intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-5235 on checking of said truck 12 bovine animals were found loaded in a cruel which were illegally transported. All the animals were rescued by Police.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 108/2020 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act. Against Manzoor Hussain s/o Bashir resident of Ramban. Police seized the vehicle involved in smuggling. Further investigation into the both cases is going on.
Kathua Police is striving hard to eradicate bovine smuggling menace from society and appeal people of the area to come forward and share any information about bovine smuggling and cooperate with Police for the cause. In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers.
