KATHUA POLICE SEIZED 20  LITRES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR AND DESTROYED 2200 LITRES OF LAHAN.

Kathua, June 18: In  continue drive against illicit liquor, a team of Anti Drug Unit led by Insp. Vishal Kumar Incharge Anti Drug Unit Kathua  conducted a raid at village Barnoti Kathua  in which 2000 litres of raw materials ( Lahan ) destroyed, seized 20  litres illicit liquor on spot and arrested one person namely Veerpal s/o Saroop Lal  resident of Charkan Bishnah at present Barnoti  Kathua who is involed in making and selling  illicit liquor.
               In this regard  a case FIR No.162/2020 U/S  48(a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Kathua against  said accused person.
 Further investigation into the case is going on.

Kathua Police  is striving hard to contain drug and liquor menace and shall conduct such raids in other identified areas where such illegal activities are going on and warns all those who are indulging in illicit liquor trade for strict legal action against them and appeal people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illegal activities with Police.
