DRY RATION DISTRIBUTED TO NEEDY FAMILIES BY KATHUA POLICE

Kathua, June 03:  With the lockdown in place and restrictions imposed on the movement of people, Police have turned into good samaritans by arranging food and dry ration kits for countless poor people, destitute, stranded migrants on the highway as well as for those residing in slum & far-flung areas.

Bani Police continuously carried out the dry ration distribution drive with the help of the local people in their jurisdictional area. 
SHO Bani says that “The role of Police is to bridge the gap between those who want to help and those who are in need. Help lines are being extensively used by people in the rural areas, especially by women and those with disabilities. Our personnel have gone out of their way to help destitute women, pregnant women, single women as well as senior citizens,”

He was put under surveillance, technical assistance was taken too, which showed that he travelled to lot of places (Punjab, Jammu) and did not stay in the Kathua town for almost 3 months.
