BOVINE SMUGGLING BID FOILED BY KATHUA POLICE; 14 BOVINE ANIMALS RESCUED 

Kathua June 04:  In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, a team of Police Station Lakhanpur succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid, rescued 14 bovine animals and  seized the truck  involved.

Today on 04.06.2020 a team of P/S Lakhanpur while on Naka checking duty at NHW Lakhanpur intercepted a   truck bearing Registration No.JK02BL-9585, coming from Punjab towards Kathua via truck terminal point Lakhanpur  signalled to stop for checking. On seeing Police party the driver stopped the said vehicle at few distance away from the Naka point and fled away from the spot. On physical checking of the said vehicle 14 bovine were found loaded in the said vehicle brutally tied with ropes. 
In police action a case FIR No. 49/2020 U/S 188, IPC 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Lakhanpur and further investigation is going on.
