BOVINE SMUGGLING BID FOILED BY KATHUA POLICE; 19 BOVINE ANIMALS RESCUED
Kathua June 12: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, a team of Police Station Hiranagar succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid, rescued 19 bovine animals and seized the vehicle involved.
Today on 12.06.2020 a team of P/S Hiranagar while on patrolling/Naka checking duty at Londi intercepted a Truck bearing Registration No. JKO2BR-7315, coming from Punjab towards Jammu. Police Team signalled the said vehicle to stop for checking. On seeing Police party the driver stopped the said vehicle at few distance away from the Naka/checking point and fled away from the spot. On physical checking of the said vehicle 19 bovine animals were found loaded in the said vehicle brutally tied with ropes.
In police action a case FIR No. 38/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Hiranagar and further investigation is going on.
