02 NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED BY KATHUA POLICE, CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE RECOVERED.
Kathua June 11: In a decisive action against drug menace, a team of Police Station Rajbagh seized heroin like substance and arrested 02 notorious drug peddlers, wanted for spread of drugs in the area.  
A team of Police Station Rajbagh led by SHO Rajbagh on Patrolling/Naka  checkpoint  at NHW Rajbagh  apprehended a notorious drug peddler coming from Hiranagar on his Alto Car bearing registration no. JK08E-3167 towards Kathua. He was signalled to stop the car and during his checking heroin like substance recovered from his illegal possession. The person disclosed is identity as Abhishek Sharma S/o Anil Sharma R/o W. No. 06 Kathua. The accused Abhishek Sharma disclosed that he purchases heroin from Manzoor Hussain S/o Abdullah R/o Plahi Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua. Later on Rajbagh Police arrested the person namely Manzoor Hussain S/o Abdullah R/o Plahi and on disclosure of Manzoor Hussain 06 gms of heroin recovered/seized from Battal Chak Marheen.  
In Police action a case FIR No. 104/2020 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act registered against the accused persons and further investigation in the case is going on. 
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
