                                                                                                                                                                                                KATHUA POLICE SEIZED  ILLICIT  LIQUOR  AND DESTROYED 1000 LITRES OF LAHAN

Kathua, May 18 :  Reacting swiftly on specific information a raid was conducted by Police team of PP Marheen led by SI Vikas Sharma Incharge PP Marheen at Village Gaterua  Tehsil Merheen during which  illicit liquor was seized along one  Patthi  used for preparation of illicit liquor and destroyed about 1000  litres of desi lahan on spot. 
Police arrested a person namely Sunil Perna S/o Pagta Caste Pern R/o GateruaTehsil Madheen  and a case FIR No.94 /2020 u/s 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Rajbagh. 
Kathua Police is striving hard to contain drug and liquor menace and shall conduct such raids in other identified areas where such illegal activities are going on. Kathua Police warns all those who are indulging in illicit liquor trade for strict legal action against them and appeal people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illegal activities with Police
