DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED, 60 GMs OF HEROIN (CHITTA) RECOVERED BY DISTRICT POLICE KATHUA

Kathua 16, May: In decisive action against drug menace, District Police Kathua achieved major success when Police party of Police Post Chadwal led by SI Vicky Thappa during   patrolling/Naka duty at Sehswan Morh Chadwal under the jurisdiction of PS Rajbagh intercepted a truck bearing registration No.  JK08A-1816   coming  from Jammu towards Lakhanpur. During checking of said  Truck  60 gms of Heroine (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of driver and his associate. 
The accused persons  disclosed their identity as Gulam Mohiud Din  S/o Gulam Rasool  R/o Kalantra payeen ,Distt Baramulla and Majnoon Ahmed S/o Bali Mohd  R/o vill Ladi ,Distt Baramulla and both the person have been  arrested on the spot and contraband item also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 89/2020 U/S 8/21/22 /29 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Rajbagh and investigation started.
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every step to aware general public especially youth to eradicate drug menace. We request people of the area to come forward and share any information about drug peddling or consumption and cooperate with Police for the cause to save the society.
